    Gem Proof Shield Reverse Judd-193
    1858 Flying Eagle Cent

    1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-193, Pollock-236, Snow-PT11a, R.5, PR65 PCGS. The obverse is struck from the Small Letters 1858 Indian cent die, while the pattern reverse shows an oak wreath with a broad ornamental shield at top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This is a needle-sharp wheat-gold Gem with nicely mirrored fields. Only trivial pinpoint carbon limits the grade. Population: 10 in 65, 0 finer (1/13).
