    1858 Small Letters Copper-Nickel Cent Pattern
    Judd-193, Unc Details

    1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-193, Pollock-236, Snow-PT11a, R.5 -- Spot Removed -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details. The obverse is struck from the Small Letters 1858 Indian cent die, while the pattern reverse shows an oak wreath with a broad ornamental shield at top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Each side displays reddish patina, and a spot has obviously been removed between ED on the obverse. Surprisingly bright fields for a non-proof.
