    Gem 1858 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern, Judd-198

    1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-198, Pollock-229, R.6-7, PR65 PCGS. The adopted Flying Eagle cent design with large letters on the obverse, while the reverse has a wide oak wreath with a broad, ornamental shield at the top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge from slightly rotated dies. A well struck Gem with chestnut-gold and olive colors. A small mint-made planchet flaw is noted below the eagle's claw, and the otherwise immaculate surfaces have a few miniscule carbon flecks.(#11856)
