    1858 Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-202

1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-202, Pollock-245, R.5, PR64 PCGS. The hook-necked eagle obverse, generally attributed to Longacre, is paired with several reverses during the year, here displaying ONE CENT in a simple laurel wreath with clusters of five leaves. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This boldly struck honey-tan example shows remnants of an old fingerprint on the each side along with streaks of amber color on the left side of the reverse. A fairly unobtrusive pinscratch extends down from the eagle's neck to the denticles at 7 o'clock.
