    1858 'Hooked-Neck' Flying Eagle Cent
    Judd-203, PR63

1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-203, Pollock-247, R.5, PR63 PCGS. The obverse has a hooked-neck eagle flying left with tall wings. The reverse is similar to that of the issued 1860 cent but there is no shield at 12 o'clock. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The fields are heavily striated and show the expected depth of mirroring as a result. Honey-tan centers are surrounded by deeper reddish patina at the margins.
