Deeply Reflective PR64 1858 Flying Eagle Cent Pattern
    Judd-203

1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-203, Pollock-247, R.5, PR64 NGC. CAC. The obverse has a hook-necked eagle flying left with tall wings. The reverse has the denomination within an oak wreath with an olive sprig and a group of three arrows are wrapped into the bottom of the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This is a splendid, upper-end example of this popular Flying Eagle cent pattern. The obverse fields are deep cherry-red, while the reverse is primarily orange-red. The fields are deeply reflective and the overall appearance reinforces the upper-end designation given by CAC.
