    Description

    1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-204, Pollock-248, R.5, PR61 ANACS. Flying Eagle pattern with a hook-necked eagle in flight on the obverse. The reverse has an oak wreath with a broad, ornamented shield at the top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This exquisitely struck specimen has attractive rose and olive colors. A planchet flaw (as made) is found below the E in UNITED, and a curly lintmark (as struck) curls above the E in ONE. The obverse has faint hairlines as is appropriate for the grade.(#11871)
