    Description

    1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-204, Pollock-248, R.5--Scratched--ANACS. Proof, Net PR50. Flying Eagle pattern with a hook-necked eagle in flight on the obverse. The reverse has an oak wreath with a broad, ornamented shield at the top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Tan-brown in color with many minute flecks of purple-green patina. Sharply struck with a few faint slide marks on the obverse. The bow on the lower reverse has a relatively deep pinscratch.
