Description
1858 Judd-207 Flying Eagle Cent
Extremely Rare Copper Pattern
Net PR40
1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-207, Pollock-243, Snow-PT16c,
R.8 -- Damaged -- ANACS. Net PR40. 2.95 gm, thin planchet, per
its Superior auction appearance. The obverse displays a hooked-neck
eagle flying left with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above
and the date below. The reverse is the same used to coin regular

This design was part of 12-piece sets issued by the Mint. It is
collectible in copper-nickel format (Judd-206) but is extremely
rare in copper. A well struck chocolate-brown specimen. The devices
are unworn but edge knocks at 5 o'clock on the obverse and 6:30 on
the reverse account for the ANACS net grade.Ex: Piedmont Sale (Superior, 1/1996), lot 1164.
