    1858 Indian Cent in Copper-Nickel, MS63
    Judd-208, Pollock-259
    Centered Date, Five-Leaf Clusters

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-208, Pollock-259, R.1, MS63 PCGS. CAC. A transitional pattern that resembles the designs of the issued 1859 cent but is dated 1858. This is the centered date Pollock variant with five leaf clusters on the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The Pollock designation (P-259) is interpreted as Centered Date, Five-Leaf Clusters, a common variant of this pattern. The surfaces are clean and reddish-tinted with strong, but not complete feather tips on the headdress.
