    Judd-208, Pollock-259, PR64
    Centered Date, Five-Leaf Clusters

    1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-208, Pollock-259, R.1, PR64 NGC. An Indian cent pattern with the adopted design of 1859, but dated a year earlier. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Judd-208 is broken into four Pollock patterns, based upon whether the date is low or centered, and whether the wreath has six or five leaves within each cluster. Pollock-259 has a centered date and five leaf clusters. This near-Gem example has vibrant mint luster and displays only modest reddish patina over each side.
