    1858 Judd-208 Indian Cent, PR64
    Important Transitional Pattern

    1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-208, Pollock-259, Snow-PT28, R.1, PR64 NGC. The 1858-dated transitional pattern with dies similar to the circulation-issue 1859 Indian cent, struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The wreath has five-leaf clusters, the date is centered, and the bust tip is blunt, one of several Judd-208 subvarieties classified by Pollock and Snow. A fully struck and radiant near-Gem with attractive lemon-gold and cherry-red toning. The obverse dentils display minor spots at 2 and 6 o'clock.
