    1858 Judd-208 Indian Cent, MS61
    Popular Transitional Pattern

    1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-208, Pollock-259, Snow-PT28, R.3, MS61 NGC. A transitional pattern similar to the designs of the issued 1859 cent. Pollock's centered date variant with five-leaf clusters in the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Judd-208 was included in the 12-piece pattern set openly sold to numismatists by the U.S. Mint. This nicely struck olive-gold example is unabraded and displays scattered minute gray freckles.
