    Description

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-208, Pollock-259, Snow-PT28, R.4, MS63 PCGS. The Mint busily worked out the details of the new Cent designs in 1858, producing a wide range of pattern cents. Generally these are distinguished based on the number of leaves in each cluster on the reverse, and on the placement of the date. The present example is sandy-red in color with a variety of violet, green and gold highlight colors. Though some faint contact marks are noted, including three on the cheek, this is a highly appealing example of this important pattern.(#11884)
