Description

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-211, Pollock-255, R.4, AU55 PCGS. The Pointed Bust subvariety of Judd-211, described as "Rarity-7" by Pollock. The Indian cent obverse of 1859, except dated 1858, and the reverse features a broad oak wreath sans shield, the denomination as usual centered within the wreath. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Luminous peach and orange surfaces are lightly worn, as if this coin spent a brief time as a pocket-piece or in circulation.
