    Description

    1858 Indian Cent in Copper-Nickel
    Judd-211, Pollock-262, PR64

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-211, Pollock-262, R.4, PR64 NGC. The obverse is similar to the issued Indian cent, but dated 1858. The reverse is similar to the issued 1860 cent reverse, except there is no shield between the ends of the laurel wreath. This is the centered date, broad bust point variant, thus the Pollock-262 designation. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The honey-tan surfaces are pleasing and moderately reflective. The only mentionable flaw is a carbon spot on the obverse below the bottom serif of the F in OF.
