    Description

    1858 Pattern Indian Cent, PR63
    Nice Judd-212, Pollock-262 Centered Date

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-262, R.5, PR63 NGC. Similar to the Indian cent design as issued in 1860, but with a broad, ornamented shield at the top of the reverse. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. There are two Pollock variants of the Judd-212; this one is Pollock-262 showing a centered date. This piece is well-struck on both sides, medium chocolate-brown, showing a few small flecks only under a loupe but still quite nice for the grade.
