    1858 Indian Cent Pattern in Copper-Nickel
    Judd-212, Pollock-263, PR64

    1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-263, PT-25, R.4, PR64 PCGS. Similar to the Indian cent design as issued in 1860, but with a broad, ornamented shield at the top of the reverse. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The centered date variety with a broad bust tip, Pollock and Snow variant of Judd-212. The copper-nickel composition has an attractive overlay of pale rose and olive patina. Moderately reflective fields.
