    1858 Indian Cent in Copper-Nickel
    Centered Date Judd-212, PR64+ Cameo

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-263, R.4, PR64+ Cameo NGC. This is a Centered Date variant with a rounded bust tip. Similar to the later regular issue Indian cent but with a broad, ornamented shield at the top of the reverse and broad rims. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The fields exhibit extraordinary depth of reflectivity with corresponding thick mint frost on the devices, the combination yielding the sought-after cameo effect. Light, even reddish patina is seen over each side.
