    Description

Conditionally Rare 1858 Indian Cent Pattern
    Judd-212, Pollock-263, PR66

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-212, Pollock-263, R.4, PR66 NGC. The centered date variant with a rounded bust tip. Similar to the later regular issue Indian cent but with a broad, ornamented shield at the top of the reverse, and broad rims. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. With no hairlines, contact marks, or noticeable carbon flecks, this modestly reflective example has great eye appeal. Both sides are tan-gold in color, with a few striations in the fields. Census: 2 in 66, 1 finer (11/08).
