    1858 Proof Indian Cent
    Judd-213, Pollock-258

    1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-213, Pollock-258, R.5 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. Proof. Snow-PT22. The obverse is the Indian type as issued in 1859, but dated 1858. The reverse is the same as used on Flying Eagle cents. The Broad Bust Point, Centered Date, Low Leaves Pollock and Snow subvariety of Judd-213. This sharply struck pattern has polished devices with iridescent toning and subdued proof surfaces.
    Seller is donating a portion of their proceeds, and Heritage is donating the same portion of the Buyer's Premium, from the sale of this lot to the National Numismatic Collection at the Smithsonian Institution. See page 3 for details.
