    1858 Indian Cent in Copper-Nickel
    Judd-213, Pollock-258, PR63

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-213, Pollock-258, Snow-PT22, R.5, PR63 PCGS. The obverse is the Indian type as issued in 1859, but dated 1858. The reverse is the same as used on Flying Eagle cents. The Broad Bust Point, Centered Date, Low Leaves Pollock and Snow subvariety of Judd-213. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Several copper-nickel variants were struck for the Indian cent in 1858, but only two used the adopted broad wreath on the reverse. This is a sharply defined example with shallow mirroring in the fields. Light reddish patina covers each side. Housed in a first-generation holder.
