    Description

    1858 Indian Cent in Copper-Nickel, PR64
Judd-213, Centered Date, Low Leaves Variant

1858 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-213, Pollock-258, Snow-PT22, R.5, PR64 NGC. Eagle Eye Photo Seal, card included. The obverse is the Indian type as issued in 1859, but dated 1858. The reverse is the same as used on Flying Eagle cents. The Broad Bust Point, Centered Date, Low Leaves Pollock and Snow subvariety of Judd-213. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Several copper-nickel variants were struck for the Indian cent in 1858, but only two used the adopted broad wreath on the reverse. This is a well-preserved example with bright mint luster and sharp definition throughout.
