    1859 Indian Cent Pattern, Judd-227, MS63 PCGS

1859 Indian Cent, Judd-227, R.6, MS63 PCGS. Regular dies obverse from 1859 paired with a different reverse that features an oak wreath with a broad, ornamented shield (from 1858) at the top. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The whitish-gray surfaces are surrounded by rich reddish patina around the margins. A bit softly struck on the feather tips, and showing virtually no signs of reflectivity in the fields of this obvious non-proof pattern.
