    Description

    Pleasing 1859 Transitional Cent

1859 Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS 64. A transitional pattern with the obverse of 1859 paired with the reverse of 1860. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Attractive honey and rose color with a few small spots scattered about each side. The rim shows evidence of porosity from insufficient metal in that area, giving the appearance of small rim bumps on each side.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29C8, PCGS# 11932)
