    Gem 1859 Indian Cent Pattern, Judd-228

    1859 Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS 65 NGC. A transitional pattern with the obverse of 1859 paired with the reverse of 1860. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Natural honey-tan surfaces are slightly muted with a pale violet patina and there is minor flyspecking on each side.
