    Popular 1859 Pattern Indian Cent, Judd-228

    1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS 63 PCGS. A transitional pattern with the obverse of 1859 paired with the reverse of 1860. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. Natural honey-tan surfaces with intermingled olive-gold highlights that are more extensive on the reverse. Both sides are curiously abrasion-free for the Select grade.
