    Description

1859 Indian Cent With Reverse of 1860
    Judd-228, MS64

1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS64 PCGS. This transitional pattern combines the as-issued 1859 Indian Head cent obverse with the Shield Reverse introduced for commerce in 1860. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This is a lovely reddish-toned near-Gem with mottled brownish flecks, quite attractive and decently well-struck. A great complement to an Indian cent Registry Set.
