    1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS64 PCGS. Snow-PT4. A transitional pattern that bears the shield reverse of 1860. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This satiny and well struck near-Gem is free from any marks, but a subtle spot is noted at 11 o'clock on the reverse.
    Ex: Santa Clara Bullet (Heritage, 11/2001), lot 1712.
