    Transitional 1859 Indian Cent Pattern
    Judd-228, Pollock-272, MS65

1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, R.1, MS65 PCGS. This is a transitional pattern that combines the standard Indian Head cent obverse with the adopted reverse design of 1860-1909. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The surfaces are well preserved, with lovely gold-tan color. A few scattered flyspecks are noted, but there are no distracting marks on either side of this appealing Gem. Population: 60 in 65, 10 finer (1/09).

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29C8, PCGS# 11932)
