    1859 Shield Reverse Indian Cent
    Copper-Nickel, Judd-228, MS65

    1859 P1C Indian Cent, Judd-228, Pollock-272, Snow-PT4, R.1, MS65 NGC. Ex: Exemplar Collection. Eagle Eye Photo Seal. Identical to the issued Shield Reverse 1860 Indian cent except dated 1859. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. The left reverse has a wire rim. A semiprooflike sun-gold Gem that is well struck aside from the upper-right portion of the shield. Only a few tiny light gray spots are present.
