    Judd-237, Silver, Reeded Edge

1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-237, Pollock-293, R.4, PR62 PCGS. The Longacre-designed French Liberty Head, facing right with laurel and vine in her hair. A ribbon below the bust is inscribed LIBERTY, with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around, and the date below. The reverse displays the agricultural wreath of the Seated dime, resized to appropriate scale, around the denomination HALF DOLLAR. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The present fully struck specimen displays lovely peach-gold toning, with hints of lilac across the right-side obverse margin. Microgranular near 9 o'clock on the obverse, the sole reason why a higher grade was not attained.
