    Description

    1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-241, Pollock-297, R.4, PR62 PCGS. Ex: H.W. Bass, Jr. The Longacre Liberty Head design for the half dollar, also known as "French Head of Liberty." The reverse has 50 CENTS surrounded by a cereal wreath. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Lightly hairlined with a small abrasive patch near the date. Both sides have pleasing rose and blue toning.
    Ex: RARCOA (2/26/1972); Harry W. Bass, Jr. (Bowers and Merena, 5/1999), lot 1172.
