Description
1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-241, Pollock-297, R.4, PR62 PCGS. The "French head" Liberty design for the Half Dollar, paired with a reverse that has 50 CENTS surrounded by a cereal wreath. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. An exquisitely struck specimen with reflective fields and consistent medium mauve patina. Free from unpleasant contact. The dies are rotated a few degrees clockwise. Population: 12 in 62, 18 finer (8/03).From the Holman Family Collection. (#11978)
