    Description

Select Proof 1859 J-241 Pattern Half Dollar

1859 P50C Half Dollar Judd-241, Pollock-297, Rarity-4 PR63 NGC. A French influence is clearly seen in the design of this obverse; Lady Liberty is adorned by a wreath of leaves. The reverse has the standard agricultural wreath symbolizing rural America. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. This is a lovely Proof example with deeply mirrored fields. Light champagne toning at the centers is accented by peripheral iridescence. Only a few minor hairlines are visible in the fields. A lovely and desirable pattern Half Dollar.(#11978)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29CM, PCGS# 11978)
