Select 1861 GOD OUR TRUST Seated Half, Judd-277
1861 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-277, Pollock-328, R.7, PR63 PCGS. The design is similar to the regular issue Seated Half Dollar, but GOD OUR TRUST is placed within a scroll above the eagle. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Pollock lists two variants of Judd-277; Pollock-328 has the point of the shield above the left edge of the 8 in the date. Beautifully toned in intermingled electric-blue and apricot colors. Well struck and carefully preserved. A wispy slide mark in the upper left obverse field performs pedigree duty. The dies are slightly rotated clockwise. Population: 1 in 63, 2 finer (10/03).From the Frank O. Fredericks Collection, Part III.(#12100)
