Description
1861 Longacre Copper Half Dollar Pattern
Judd-280, PR63 Brown
1861 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-280, Pollock-331, Low R.7, PR63
Brown NGC. A regular dies obverse is paired with a reverse the
same as the regular issue, except that the motto GOD OUR TRUST is
set directly onto the upper field. Struck in copper with a reeded
edge. The surfaces are deep brown over each side, but a faint trace
of the original mint red can be seen. Both sides show light
hairlining, but there are no obvious contact marks.From The Bob Simpson Collection.
