    Description

    Rich Reddish-Brown 1862 Ten Dollar Pattern, Judd-297

1862 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-297, Pollock-355, 356, R.7, PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse is of the regular eagle dies for 1862. The reverse is similar to the regular dies design with the addition of the motto GOD OUR TRUST on a scroll above the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Rich reddish-brown surfaces, the only flaw we see is a bit of green verdigris behind Liberty's mouth. The holder is in sad shape and the coin may not photo well. (#70447)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29E8, PCGS# 70447)
