    1862 Ten Dollar in Bronzed Copper
    Judd-297, PR63 Brown

    1862 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-297, Pollock-356, Low R.6, PR63 Brown NGC. The obverse is of the regular ten dollar dies for 1862. The reverse is similar to the regular dies design but adds the motto GOD OUR TRUST on a scroll above the eagle. The high date, rounded bun Pollock subvariety. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. The surfaces have been bronzed, resulting in a subdued, matte-like appearance. Deep reddish-tinged brown color covers each side with no mentionable contact marks.
