Description

1862 Judd-298 Ten Dollar, PR64 Brown
Low Date, Pollock-358

1862 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-298 Bronzed, Pollock-358, R.6, PR64 Brown PCGS. CAC. Low date. The regular 1862 eagle dies, with the added GOD OUR TRUST on the reverse, no scroll. Low Date. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Examples of Judd-298 are typically bronzed. The Low R.6 rarity ranking is for Judd-298, the Low and High Date varieties combined. The design elements are intricately detailed and each side shows even brown patina, but when the coin is angled just so, much of the original red can still be seen beneath the brown. A few light field marks and lint marks account for the grade.
