1862 Judd-293 Half Dollar, PR65
GOD OUR TRUST Reverse
From the Garrett Collection
1862 50C Half Dollar, Judd-293, Pollock-351, R.5, PR65 NGC.
The regular Liberty Seated half dollar dies of the year 1862,
except that the reverse contains GOD OUR TRUST on a scroll. Struck
in silver with a reeded edge. The obverse fields were more
completely finished in the Mint than those of the reverse. The
reverse shows considerable evidence of die striations. Beautiful
rose-colored centers are surrounded by lime-green patina at the
margins. The only mentionable pedigree marker is a carbon spot just
