    1862 GOD OUR TRUST Seated Half, Judd-295
    Choice Proof, Struck in Silver

    1862 50C Half Dollar, Judd-295, Pollock-353, R.5, PR64 PCGS. From regular issue dies except the motto GOD OUR TRUST is on the upper reverse field sans scroll. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The reverse is beautifully toned with a broad navy-blue, golden-brown, and ruby-red margin. The obverse is less dramatic but nonetheless displays an aquamarine, tan-gold, and cherry-red border. Fully struck and well preserved. The fields exhibit myriad die polish lines. A vertical die crack through the eagle's beak may be of interest to the specialist. Population: 8 in 64, 2 finer (12/13).
