    Choice Proof, Struck in Silver

1862 50C Half Dollar, Judd-295, Pollock-353, R.5, PR64 PCGS. From regular issue dies except the motto GOD OUR TRUST is on the upper reverse field sans scroll. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. The reverse is beautifully toned with a broad navy-blue, golden-brown, and ruby-red margin. The obverse is less dramatic but nonetheless displays an aquamarine, tan-gold, and cherry-red border.
