    Desirable Aluminum Striking 1863 Seated Dollar, Judd-347

    1863 $1 Dollar, Judd-347, Pollock-419, R.7, PR64 PCGS. A regular issue 1863 Seated Dollar obverse die is paired with a circa-1866 regular issue With Motto die. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge. Produced in the early 1870s as part of a denominational muled set for sale to collectors. The fields have infrequent faint handling marks, but this sharply struck slate-gray near-Gem is impressively preserved. Population: 1 in 64, 1 finer (10/03).
