    1863 Indian Cent, PR65
    Judd-300, Pollock-362

1863 1C One Cent, Judd-300, Pollock-362, Low R.7, PR65 PCGS. The High Date variant of this elusive variety. This pattern was struck in the normal copper-nickel alloy with the regular working dies, but was produced with a reeded edge rather than a plain edge. Proof and business strike versions were produced. This example of the former displays razor-sharp design definition, with moderate mirroring in the fields. Intermingled hues of rose and bronze-gold grace each side, and only a few minute carbon specks are detected upon close examination. Population: 4 in 65, 0 finer (9/14).
