    1863 Postage Currency Pattern, Judd-325

    1863 Ten Cents, Judd-325, Pollock-390, R.6, PR 65 NGC. An ornamental shield bordered with EXCHANGED FOR U.S. NOTES is seen on the obverse. The reverse depicts 10 CENTS and the date 1863 encircled with POSTAGE CURRENCY at the top, and ACT JULY 1862 at the bottom. Struck in silver with a plain edge. The fields show good depth of mirrored reflectivity still in spite of irregular gray, blue, and rose patches of toning that are scattered over each side.
