    PR65 Red, Judd-381

    1864 10C Ten Cents, Judd-381, Pollock-449, R.7, PR65 Red PCGS. CAC. Regular dies trial issue for the Seated dime. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Watery sunset-orange surfaces have mellowed slightly with delicate lilac patina. A tiny lamination beneath TE in UNITED serves to identify this elusive off-metal striking. Population: 3 in 65 Red, 0 finer (7/14).
