Gem Mint State 1864 Judd-356A Cent Pattern
1864 1C Indian Cent, Judd-356a, Pollock-427, Low R.6, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. Regular dies struck on bronze with a plain edge. The Judd-356 patterns are considered experimental pieces. Varieties include J-356 struck on a billon planchet, J-356A struck on a thick bronze planchet, and J-356B struck on a thin copper-nickel planchet. The obverse of this piece is full red with a subdued red and brown reverse. These pieces weight 73 grains, according to the USPatterns.com website.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29GK, PCGS# 72299, Greysheet# 12610)
