Lovely 1864 Seated Quarter Pattern, Judd-384

1864 25C Quarter Dollar, Judd-384, Pollock-452, Low R.7, PR64 PCGS. The obverse is from a regular Seated Liberty die, while the Paquet-designed reverse depicts a perched eagle with outstretched wings holding an olive sprig and three long, slender arrows in its claws. The arrow shafts pass over the eagle's right (facing) wingtip. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Lightly dappled chestnut patina ensures the originality of this beautifully struck and unabraded example. Population: 2 in 64, 0 finer (7/04).(#60555)
