    Repunched Date, Judd-406

    1865 1C One Cent, Judd-406, Pollock-475, Low R.6, PR66 PCGS. FS-301, Snow-1. From the Plain 5 repunched date Snow-1 dies, the remnants of the undertype numerals are visible below all four primary digits in the date, with the undertype 1 punched lower and the 5 higher than the primary numeral. The design is the one adopted for regular-issue coinage, struck in nickel with a plain edge. This spectacular Premium Gem offers well-detailed design elements and hazily reflective fields, with well-preserved copper-gold surfaces. Population: 4 in 66, 0 finer (9/14).
